Add a Billing Liaison

A Billing Liaison automatically receives your account’s monthly invoice from OrangeQC and can update credit card payment information in the system.

You can give Billing Liaison privileges to an existing user or create a Billing Liaison as a new user.

To give Billing Liaison privileges to an existing user:

  1. Click the People tab. Only Administrators can see this menu option.
  2. Find the right person. Choose the name of the user you would like to be a Billing Liaison.
  3. Scroll down to Roles. Check the role for “Billing Liaison.” The user must also be an Administrator if you would like them to update billing details in Account Settings, upgrade/downgrade the account, see the billing history, or get invoices for manual payments.
  4. Save.

To create a Billing Liaison as a new user:

  1. Click the People tab. Only Administrators can see this menu option.

  2. Click the "New Person” button.

  3. Fill out Basic Info. Right now, you’ll need the person’s name, email, and time zone.

  4. Set a username and password in Account Settings. You might use the person’s first first initial + their last name for their username, or the part of their company email before the @ sign.

Write these down in an email draft to send when you’re finished.

  5. Choose Roles. Check the box next to “Billing Liaison.” The user must also be an Administrator if you would like them to update billing details in Account Settings, upgrade/downgrade the account, see the billing history, or get invoices for manual payments.

  6. Choose Permissions and Email Notifications. If this person isn’t going to be using OrangeQC for anything besides billing, you can uncheck all Permissions. If you’d rather set them up as another type of user, you can refer to the guides to Add an Inspector or Add an Administrator.

  7. Choose an Area of Access. You must select at least one Area of Access in order to save.

  8. Save.

  9. Send your new Billing Liaison their login info. OrangeQC will not automatically email this person their username or password.

Here's an email you can copy and paste to fill in with the person's username and password, as well as your login page:

Hi,

I've set up an account for you to log into our new inspection tool, OrangeQC. You will receive our account's monthly invoice and can log in to update the credit card on file.
