Mark a Line Item as Unable to Complete

Marking a line item as Unable to Complete means you weren't able to inspect or complete the line item in question. For example, if a certain restroom stall is in use during the allotted service time, you could mark that you were unable to complete that line item.

This is different than marking a line item as Not Applicable (N/A). Choose N/A if the line item doesn't apply to the particular space. (See Mark a Line Item as Not Applicable for more info.)

When you mark a line item as Unable to Complete, it does not count toward the form's overall score or completion rate. The change only happens for this one submission of the form and will show up again the next time you open it.

If you do not see the Unable to Complete option in the quick-actions menu that appears when you tap the three dots in a mobile form, it means that an administrator has disabled the option for the form or that particular line item.

Marking a line item as Unable to Complete on a mobile device:

  1. Begin performing an inspection or completing a checklist
  2. Tap the three-dot action icon to see a list of additional actions
  3. Tap the "Unable to Complete" option and confirm
  4. This line item will be marked as Unable to Complete

Reminder: If you do not see an option to choose Unable to Complete from the quick-actions menu (three dots to the right of the line item on mobile), it means that an admin on your team has turned off the option for that line item.
