Use Inspection and Checklist Forms from the Template Library

OrangeQC comes preloaded with inspection and checklist form templates that you can use out of the box. These forms are licensed from some of the leading industry associations and experts, including APPA and ISSA. We've also created our own templates based on industry best practices.

To use the built-in forms, you will need to copy a template into your account. Here's how:

  1. Open the Template Library. You'll find it in the Setup tab on the left-hand sidebar.


  2. Choose inspection or checklist templates. If your plan includes checklists, you'll see a tab for checklist templates at the top.


  3. Choose the template you want to use. Click to view all of the line items and details.


  4. Press the Copy Template button. Please note that you can only make changes to the form in the next step.


  5. Customize the form. You now have a fresh copy of this inspection form to use within your account. Customize the title, the line item names, and the ratings to best fit your needs. This won't change the template you copied the form form.


  6. Save the copy. Even if you're using the form as-is, you'll need to scroll to the bottom and click "Save."


  7. Assign the form. After you save, stay on the page. In the upper right-hand corner, click “More” and choose “Bulk Assign” from the drop-down menu. Select the areas where you want your team to be able to use the new checklist, then click “Review Assignment.” Look over the list of the locations where the form will be applied, then click “Approve and Proceed.”
