Use Visit Tracking
This feature is currently in private beta testing and only available for teams that have opted in. If you are an account administrator and would like more information, please reach out to support@orangeqc.com.
Visit tracking helps organize the actions you take during a site visit. When you scan a QR code at a location, it will prompt you to check in and begin a visit. When you're done at the site, you can tap to end the visit.
Enabling Visit Tracking
Before you begin, make sure your app is updated to the latest version of OrangeQC (version 4.10.0 or higher). Visit OrangeQC's listing on the Apple app store to see if you have an update waiting.
Open your Profile in the OrangeQC app to check which version you're using, and tap "Download New Data" to ensure you have the most recent data loaded.
Checking In to Start a Visit
To track a visit to a location:
Scan the QR code at your location. You can use the QR code scanner in OrangeQC or the camera app on your phone. This will act as a shortcut, taking you straight to the correct location in the OrangeQC app.
Tap "Yes" to check in. Confirm you want to start a visit by tapping "Yes" when the pop-up box asks if you'd like to start a visit. Once you're checked in, a banner at the bottom of the screen will remind you that you've started a visit.
Inspect as usual. The app will automatically link any inspections you perform at or below the area while checked in to your visit. (If you don't want an inspection associated with a particular visit, you can un-check the "Link to Visit" box at the end of an inspection.)
Tap "Check out" when you're done with a visit. This will end the visit.
Visits will sync automatically, without any action on your part. New syncing technology used here should be fast and reliable so that visits aren't delayed or lost.
